Challenge: Deliver broadcast quality lighting and sound for an outdoor venue with a crowd of over 25,000 without obstructing sight lines.

Description: When the Commander in Chief needed to be seen and heard by a crowd of over 25,000 at a re-election campaign event, his team chose Hi-Tech for the ticket. This high profile event called for the best audio and lighting systems available, and the skill and expertise to construct supports that not only matched the existing stage set, but did not obstruct the view of the grand audience. Hi-Tech turned to the JBL Vertec 8889 Line Array system, specifically designed for outdoor venues, to provide the best broadcast quality audio coverage for this large event. Expert rigging specialists constructed a safe and functional platform using a self-climbing truss system that created a symmetrical and complementary structure with respect to the stage set. HMI lighting instruments were used to create a high quality stage wash that mapped the optimum color temperature and intensity requirements needed by the media, thereby insuring broadcast quality lighting rain or shine.

Although Hi-Tech’s skilled engineers and operators faced logistical challenges during the set-up and break-down, safety remained top priority. In the end, the message and the vision for this high profile re-election campaign came through loud and clear, thanks to Hi-Tech.
