TRADESHOW IMAGE: PHILIPS Client: Philips Medical Systems

Challenge: To project images in Philips Medical Systems booth to simulate their "ambient experience" in a circular MRI room with limited space.

Solution: Hi-Tech brought in Folsoms Blend Pro 7x18" curved rear screen and screen shaper; three Barco's R10s projectors to create the ambient experience.

Description: When Philips Medical System wanted to present their new MRI technology at this years RSNA show they called on Hi-Tech to help achieve the look they envisioned. Philips Medical System wanted to recreate an MRI room that would be enclosed with screens that which would portray images leaving the MRI patient to feel at ease during the MRI exam. This experience is called the ambient experience. Hi-Tech knew this would be a challenge since they were dealing with a curved area and a small amount of space behind the exhibit to project their images- but there is no challenge that Hi-Tech can't overcome. Hi-Tech used Folsom's Blend Pro 7x18" curved rear screen and screen shaper with three Barco R10 projectors to achieve the desired image and appearance for the ambient experience. The end result - Hi-Tech and the booth designer were able to create the exact ambient experience replication and left Philips Medical Systems ecstatic.

TRADESHOW IMAGE: PHILIPS Client: Sonicare/Czarnowski

Challenge: Adapt lighting and audio visual into a booth constructed of Transformit material.

Solution: Use of curved truss to follow the sweeping effects of the Transformit walls and hiding all audio visual components to maintain the booths aesthetics.

Description: Czarnowski Exhibit Services challenged Hi-Tech to arrange a lighting and audio-visual solution for Czarmowski's booth which was predominantly made up of Transformit material. The booth's unique shape played into Hi-tech's challenge since it contained several curves and a small amount of straight walls. Hi-Tech overcame this challenge by including high-end lighting (Hi-End Studio Colors and Vari-Lite VL 1000's) and curved truss into Hi-Techs solution. The sophistication of the shuttering (VL1000) and focus ability of the lights from the programming console negated the return of riggers for focusing before the show. Audio Visual incorporated 18 Plasmas, a rear projection theatre and two corner stages for product demonstrations. Hi-Tech overcame the challenge from Czarnowski and in turn left everyone delighted with the booth's final outcome.

TRADESHOW IMAGE: PHILIPS Client: BioGuard

Challenge: Project widescreen images in a space that has limited rigging points.

Solution: Use a very short .8 lens to get around the limited space.

Description: BioGuard has been doing business with Hi-Tech for over four years. This year at their annual dealer meeting, BioGuard wanted to do something different and unique. Hi-Tech worked with BioGuard to determine the different unique solutions that would fit BioGuards requirements. After a great deal of consideration, Hi-Tech and BioGuard decided on using a widescreen to portray the image magnification, power point and video rolls. The event was held at the Renaissance Waverly grand ballroom which has limited rigging points which would be quite challenging for Hi-Tech- but this did not stop Hi-Tech at all! Instead they used a very short .8 lens to the rear blended 10x30 image. With one day to set up and rehearse and strike- time was not on Hi-Tech's side. In the end Hi-Tech prevailed leaving BioGuard overly satisfied!

TRADESHOW IMAGE: PHILIPS Client: Southern Company

Challenge: Achieve the desired futuristic look with limited space and rigging points.

Description: The Power Generation meeting is a look into the future for the Southern Company and their growth markets, the corporate planners wanted a futuristic look for the series of meetings at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta to accomplish the preferred appearance.

A large cyclorama, set behind the stage, was to be featured prominently in the design and numerous Apollo gobos were front and rear projected onto this cyc with conventional and intelligent lights focused and programmed to provide a wide array of looks ranging from otherworldly space vistas to futuristic planet surfaces, all designed to engage the audience to think of the future and what it might hold.
To add to the effect of "alien" worlds, a low smoke generator was used to cover the stage in a cloud wispy vapor during audience seating in the tiered risers covering the ballroom. Additional futuristic columns (and matching podium onstage), flanking the projection screens, were internally and externally lit using intelligent lights, again programmed for a variety of looks throughout the meetings.

A real crowd pleaser was the colorful swirling comet, streaking gas trails and all, that tracked across the cyc at one point during a speaker transition.

TRADESHOW IMAGE: PHILIPS Client: MC2 / Lucent Technologies

Challenge: Create a memorable staging and meeting experience, both within the ballroom and the 20+ breakouts per day.

Solution: Efficiently mixing of both conventional and moving light fixtures to create multiple scenes that would separate the different environments the room would be exposed to.

Description: When Lucent decided to put together their first Sales Meeting in 3 years MC2 immediately brought Hi-Tech into the scene. Hi-Tech was challenged to create a warm, exciting environment that would hi-light their Awards/Recognition night and transition to their General Session and Breakouts for the remainder of the conference. Using NEC GT5000 LCD projectors along with an up-stage light lighting scheme complemented by VL1000's, the effect provided bright screens along with eye-popping effects on transforments within the set. Outside of the General Session, the Hi-Tech worked diligently to setup and monitor the 20+ breakouts for the 3-day conference. Hi-Tech's flexibility and experience once again assisted in making for a memorable conference experience.
