Client: Lucent / MC2
Challenge: Provide high-end
technical support for Lucent while creating an original look
with MC2 not to be duplicated on the Supercomm 2003 tradeshow
floor.
Solution: Deliver state-of-the-art
computer, data display solutions, and support to meet the
high-end requirements of the booth and "Studio"
Theme of the separate theatre.
Description: When Lucent needed
technical support with a flare for original presentation to
display their latest projects and achievements at the Supercomm
2003, Hi-Tech was their choice. Lucent's booth and separate
"studio" themed theatre presented a variety of technology
challenges which Hi-Tech met with precision and panache. Hi-Tech's
expertise in computer hardware and support, combined with
their attention to aesthetic detail, assisted Lucent in winning
the "Best Booth Design" for Supercomm 2003.
Working hand in hand with MC2, Hi-Tech provided computer
and data display solutions to over 40 workstations throughout
the 90' x 90' booth, each with its own special requirements.
Combining Xeon chip computers with same model Dell casings
and monitors along with Hitachi plasma screens, Hi-Tech provided
solutions that both technically met the requirements and remained
true to the design of the booth. And in the neighboring 30'
x 30' "studio" theatre, Hi-Tech rose to the challenge
of supporting live talent and interactive media to encompass
the audience and create a "news studio" effect.
Hi-Tech first assembled a computer system that could run Macromedia
Director in the 16:9 format, and then made sure that the producers
could switch between all sources. Using 4 computers, 1 DV
Cam, 3 live digital cameras, and the Folsom Screen Pro Plus
as a Matrix/Router, Hi-Tech made it possible to put any image
on any screen at any time. The overall effect was both stunning
and award-winning!
