Challenge: Satisfy an array
of input-output requirements for various platforms at the
high profile and highly technical Microsoft Windows Hardware
Engineering Conference.
Solution: Route a multitude
of input devices to any choice of various outputs while treating
attendees to a lighting and audio technological tour de force.
Description: When Microsoft
needed its hardware engineered for optimum success at its
annual "peek into the future," Hi-Tech was on hand
providing the means to deliver light, visuals and sound through
a seamless array of input and output configurations.
With the help of a Sierra 16x32 router controlled by a Folsom
1604, Hi-Tech mastered the complex distribution of a variety
of different signal inputs and outputs with over 20 different
hardware sources onstage plus a host of additional sources
behind the scenes. Sony D35 cameras iso-recorded with overlaps
captured the keynote address of high profile Microsoft CEO
Bill Gates into a stack of Beta decks for instant distribution.
To punch up the presentation, Hi-Tech utilized the unique
features of the Vari*Lite VL1000AS automated lighting fixtures
to program the internal shutters to highlight the individual
products on-stage. And since the ultimate in immersive surround
sound was a must for Windows Media Player's demo of the remastered
Terminator movie, Hi-Tech responded with the JBL VerTec line-array
sound system configured for the movie theater experience.
Hi-Tech's use of this line-array technology provided even
sound distribution for the 3000 attendees seated classroom
style, and all without hanging delay cabinets. High volume
input, high volume output, and Hi-Tech finesse made this conference
another high
profile success!
